The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 7 in the game by Paulo Renato Ortiz from a close distance when the talented Samuel Messias managed to make a qualified save. Aracu SS's players were relieved. In the 14th minute Léo Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Aracu SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. If Enéas Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Celso Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Aracu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Terra came free, but Samuel Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belchior Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Renato Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Renato Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Samuel Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cacheiro FC. In the 45th match minute, Aracu SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio Quaresma to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Enéas Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belchior Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Samuel Messias came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cacheiro FC's Enéas Terra. But to his dismay, Enéas Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Samuel Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Belchior Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aracu SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cacheiro FC the free kick. In the 66th match minute, Aracu SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belchior Vides to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enéas Terra in the 67th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Cacheiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Terra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Rezende in the 71st minute of play forced Cacheiro FC's goalkeeper Celso Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Aracu SS booed when Cacheiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Cacheiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Rezende came free, but Celso Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvério Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Aracu SS got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Quaresma. After 86 played minutes, Cacheiro FC's Luiz Gustavo Teles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samuel Messias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cacheiro FC reached it. Enéas Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Messias having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Percival Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Léo Rezende got in the 96th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Celso Fernandez handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.
