Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Sombrio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho da Silva came free, but Júlio Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho da Silva in the 5th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes Sombrio FC got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar de Mendonça. 8 minutes into the match, Avencas AD's Rodrigo Romero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Carlinhos Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Faustino in the 10th minute of the match. Júlio Carioca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Quintal in the 15th minute. When André Luiz da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sombrio FC's protests and gave André Luiz da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sombrio FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. André Luiz da Silva hit a great ball. If Davi Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didi Madureira hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Hermínio Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerson Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Veloso having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Davi Quintal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Robinho da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Carioca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Avencas AD booed when Sombrio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Luís Fabiano Melo managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robinho da Silva was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sombrio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho da Silva came free, but Júlio Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Sombrio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes Sombrio FC got a freekick which was hit by Didi Madureira. In the game's 57th minute Avencas AD's Rodrigo Romero took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Júlio Carioca and thus the score was 2-0. In the 63rd match minute, Avencas AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Melo to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Robinho da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Avencas AD booed when Sombrio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes, Didi Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sombrio FC and the Avencas AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Sombrio FC got a freekick which was hit by Didi Madureira. Robinho da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Júlio Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Sombrio FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Mello. Júlio Faustino hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Robinho da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes in the game, Robinho da Silva dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Júlio Faustino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlinhos Veloso. That made the score 3-1 in the 96 minute of play. Sombrio FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
