Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dito Furtado made the kick off which started today's match. Alfredão Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Quadros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Amadeu Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Cléber Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Itiuca booed when Pimentel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Zé Pedro Pereira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeu Quadros skillfully saved the ball. Dito Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vinícius Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Elder Maciel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pimentel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itiuca the free kick. After 21 played minutes Pimentel got a freekick which was hit by Duda da Silveira. Cléber Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Amadeu Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cléber Xavier came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Itiuca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Xavier couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Cléber Xavier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itiuca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Vinícius Ramalho made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Flavinho Fantini sent off a good shot on target. Elivélton Machado hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. A collision led to Pimentel getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Elivélton Machado hit a great ball. Gilmar de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilmar de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Gilmar de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfredão Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Amadeu Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itiuca. If Flavinho Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Dito Furtado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Vinícius Ramalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baltazar Veloso's late challenge caught a Pimentel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltazar Veloso helped the player get up and apologised. Baltazar Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Flavinho Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vinícius Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinícius Ramalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dito Furtado went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Dito Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Ramalho having to interfere. If Flavinho Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavinho Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Ramalho having to interfere. Pimentel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
