Muqui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Adalmo Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adalmo Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dito Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Muqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dito Ferraz couldn't finish the play. Muqui's Raí Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Trigo in the 27th minute of play. Tiago Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Maurício Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Virginopolis getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Robinho Quirino hit a great ball. Cléber Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurício Salgado's late challenge caught a Muqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurício Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Virginopolis's Maurício Salgado got a free kick in the 39th minute. Dito Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Tiago Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cauan Trigo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Dito Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Virginopolis's Cauan Trigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raí Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The tension between the Muqui and the Virginopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Muqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Mendes to maneuver through the defense. The Virginopolis players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
