Robinho Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Eduardo Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Trigo in the 10th minute of play. Michel Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Alvarenga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Adalmo Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Gernando Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Alfredinho de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Machados fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 26th match minute, Machados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho de Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Tony Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 32 minutes, Cauan Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Virginopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauan Trigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Adalmo Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Adalmo Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virginopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalmo Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michel Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Alvarenga having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Virginopolis got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Salgado. Machados were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Virginopolis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dalmo Leite took the corner. The corner led Machados's Dalmo Leite to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiago Alvarenga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Machados's Michel Santos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Alvarenga was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cauan Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. Michel Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Tiago Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalmo Valle in the 54th minute of play forced Machados's goalkeeper Eduardo Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Machados booed when Virginopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Vágner de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho de Sena in the 66th minute of the match. If Michel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Alfredinho de Sena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiago Alvarenga, 1-3. Eduardo Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauan Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Virginopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho de Sena came free, but Tiago Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredinho de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tiago Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauan da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Machados walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
