Jean Hames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dedé Lira hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Jean Hames managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gesteira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Hames was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Júlio Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mariluz FC's zone, Jean Hames stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionísio Bittencourt came out of the goal and Jean Hames tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Aleandro Pereira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dionísio Bittencourt was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Jean Hames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Cunha in the 38th minute of play forced Gesteira's goalkeeper Nicolas Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes, Vânderson Gaúcho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gesteira and the Mariluz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vânderson Gaúcho hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Rodolfo Chaves from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Nicolas Rosa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 45th minute, Emílio Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariluz FC:s Dionísio Bittencourt showed great skill when he stopped Paulão Torres:s penalty. In the 47th minute, Paulão Torres made a precise shot to the right of Dionísio Bittencourt. Mariluz FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Hames stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aleandro Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionísio Bittencourt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. If Jean Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute of the game, Durval Leite landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Valdomiro Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdomiro Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valdomiro Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Jean Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vânderson Gaúcho was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 65th match minute, Gesteira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. Jean Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Rosa having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Amadeu da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The match ended with a win for Gesteira.
