Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Belmont's Chicão de Amorim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Aleandro Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes, Luís Fabiano Leal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belmont and the Gesteira players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Belmont getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Leal hit a great ball. Nicolas Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Jean Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aleandro Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Hames's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo França read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Aleandro Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Gesteira's Evaristo França threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jean Hames, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Evaristo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Hames in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vânderson Gaúcho during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Belmont booed when Gesteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleandro Pereira in the 55th minute of play. Jean Hames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nicolas Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gesteira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! After 80 played minutes Chicão de Amorim rounded Gesteira's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Jean Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belmont's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aleandro Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belmont's Evaristo França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Xavier in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Belmont had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
