The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Abel Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th minute, Belchior Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ademir Cunha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fernando Alagoano. In the 12th minute, Elias Vides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cangas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 16th minute Elias Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Vides in the 20th minute of play forced Lufa SC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Váldson Queirós put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Valdomiro Paranaense. Valdomiro Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Queirós in the 31st minute of the match. Elias Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Valdomiro Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Ferraz during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lufa SC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Pedro Ferraz hit a great ball. Váldson Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdomiro Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Váldson Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. If Belchior Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belchior Velasco made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Cangas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Tróia to maneuver through the defense. If Belchior Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lufa SC's Belchior Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lufa SC's Valdomiro Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Queirós in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Abel Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Belchior Velasco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cangas's Ademir Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Lufa SC's Pedro Ferraz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademir Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Lufa SC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Ferraz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior Velasco in the 82nd minute of play forced Cangas's goalkeeper Ademir Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kauan de Godoy's late challenge caught a Cangas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauan de Godoy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lufa SC's Kauan de Godoy got a free kick in the 89th minute. Cangas's Gil Breckenfeld couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lufa SC. Ademir Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belchior Velasco in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cangas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
