Chiquinho Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Vides in the 4th minute. A collision led to Cangas getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. José Carlos Guimarães hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes, Amazonas's Luiz Fabiano Lara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ademir Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amazonas reached it. Ademir Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Váldson Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Jacinto having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Amazonas's goalkeeper Chiquinho Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Váldson Queirós. Elias Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Jacinto having to interfere. Váldson Queirós hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Fellipe Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cangas's Ademir Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st match minute, Cangas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Evandro Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Amazonas got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Lara. Váldson Queirós struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Chiquinho Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cangas. In the 44th minute, Fellipe Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Fellipe Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ademir Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Jarbas Matorin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Amazonas's Allan Mattos got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Elias Vides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cangas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Fellipe Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ademir Cunha made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Fellipe Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Evandro Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Váldson Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Chiquinho Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
