In the 3rd minute, Abel Valladares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kauan de Brito, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Nipolandia getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Dagoberto Furtado hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Mineiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdomiro Paranaense was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Belchior Velasco did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Kauan de Brito 8 minutes into the match. Pedro Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Valdomiro Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Mineiro in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Nipolandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Lufa SC's Fernando Alagoano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nipolandia. Carlinhos Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Valdomiro Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nipolandia. 31 minutes into the game, one of Nipolandia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Kauan de Brito, was totally fooled by Lufa SC's Fernando Alagoano, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Kauan de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belchior Velasco in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Belchior Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauan de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Carlinhos Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. Kauan de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Valladares in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Nipolandia booed when Lufa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Lufa SC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Mineiro came free, but Valdomiro Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lufa SC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lufa SC's Valdomiro Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Lufa SC from getting a goal against them. Luiz Paulo Valadares scored 2-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Carlinhos Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lufa SC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
