Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Antônio Freire got the match started through his kick off. José Vítor Vidal came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Romao's Waldemar Fontes. But to his dismay, Waldemar Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 7th minute, Antônio Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Romao's goalkeeper Jeremias do Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th match minute, Romao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. After 13 played minutes Maragipinho got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Gaúcho. Maragipinho's José Vítor Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Freire in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Miguel Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Freire might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Vítor Vidal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Freire ran back to his position shaking his head. If Waldemar Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Vítor Vidal was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Amílton de Souza. In the 27th match minute, Maragipinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Freire in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Waldemar Fontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Vítor Vidal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Douglas Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias do Nascimento having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Pedro Luiz Mattos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Romao's Jeremias do Nascimento. Jeremias do Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Waldemar Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luiz Mattos to make the kick off. Douglas Oliveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jeremias do Nascimento made a huge save. In the 57th minute, Ivo Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jeremias do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Maragipinho's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Fontes came free, but José Vítor Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Vítor Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Freire in the 63rd minute of play. Diego Ferreira hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. José Vítor Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes of play Romao's Ivo Baiano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Romao getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ivo Baiano hit a great ball. Amílton de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Waldemar Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romao's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Vítor Vidal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romao's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
