Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Meloso's Álvaro Freitas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Clemente Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meloso's Lino Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meloso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viegas AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Meloso's Luís Fábio Cardoso got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willian Macedo in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, one of Meloso:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meloso. The referee gave Viegas AD a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hermínio Carneiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Meloso's Lino Cruz. 0-1. Luís Fábio Cardoso kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 17thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Viegas AD's keeper Luís Fernando Moreira was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. When Clemente Pitta came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Viegas AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Pitta couldn't finish the play. After 20 played minutes Viegas AD got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Torres. Willian Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Cruz having to interfere. Josué Netto hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39thth minute of the game Clemente Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meloso's Lino Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute Willian Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Meloso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Rodriguinho Bueno was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lino Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Macedo in the 58th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Digo Miranda in the 61st minute of play. When Betão Mumbach came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Viegas AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Mumbach couldn't finish the play. Lino Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Macedo in the 72nd minute of the match. When Viegas AD's Willian Macedo in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meloso's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute, Rodriguinho Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fernando Moreira. Viegas AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Viegas AD's zone, Rodriguinho Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fernando Moreira came out of the goal and Rodriguinho Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Bueno in the 94th minute of play forced Viegas AD's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Viegas AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
