Ismael Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Madureira in the 3rd minute of play. José Vítor Pombal's late challenge caught a Itarema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Vítor Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Tombo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Pombal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tombo's zone, Luiz Guilherme Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Lara came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tombo getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. José Vítor Pombal hit a great ball. If Manolo Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolo Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Lara having to interfere. Ismael Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Madureira in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Itarema's Luiz Guilherme Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismael Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Madureira struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ismael Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itarema. Luiz Guilherme Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Luiz Guilherme Madureira scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Itarema's goal looked a bit too open when André Valadares came free, but Ricardo Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guto Brasil charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guto Brasil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes Itarema got a freekick which was hit by Guto Brasil. When Ernesto Severo came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Tombo fans jumped to their feet. That made the score 0-3 after 89 minutes of play. 96 minutes into the match, Itarema's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Severo came free, but Ricardo Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Itarema's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
