Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reynaldo Barreto started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nepomuceno's Reynaldo Barreto got a free kick in the 6th minute. Reynaldo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Arantes having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ramón Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pantano's Joélson Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Barreto in the 16th minute of play. Joélson Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Claudinho Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pantano's protests and gave Claudinho Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Claudinho Azevedo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Norberto Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Joélson Arantes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nepomuceno. Joélson Arantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Barreto's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Reynaldo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Arantes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Marquez in the 35th minute of play forced Nepomuceno's goalkeeper Ramón Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 37 minutes on the clock, Oscar Salgado commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Nepomuceno:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pantano:s goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 56 played minutes Pantano got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Leite. After a rather tough play, Nepomuceno's Reynaldo Barreto got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute Marcel Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Franklin Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nepomuceno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pantano the free kick. Pantano's Flavinho Marquez suffered a concussion in the 78th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 79th minute, Walmir Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Norberto Ferraz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joélson Arantes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Walmir Maranhense struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Joélson Arantes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nepomuceno. Norberto Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Arantes having to interfere. Norberto Ferraz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Nepomuceno's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Joélson Arantes was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Elder Teixeira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elder Teixeira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Nepomuceno played a much better game than Pantano and deserved their victory. The Pantano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
