When Marcos Linares came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Vaquejador FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Linares couldn't finish the play. In the 5th minute Marcos Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo de Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldinho Netto struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. João Paulo de Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vaquejador FC. After having played for 9 minutes, Marcos Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaquejador FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldinho Netto in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Paulo de Godoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 played minutes Beverini EC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Barbosa. In the 24th match minute, Vaquejador FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Osmar Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Osvaldinho Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldinho Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juvenal Barreto in the 27th minute. Osmar Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Arce having to interfere. Adhemar Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Beverini EC's Osmar Lopez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago do Valle during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Beverini EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago do Valle to maneuver through the defense. João Paulo de Godoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Linares's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Marcos Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo de Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldinho Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Juvenal Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldinho Arce was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Osmar Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 minutes, Enrique Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beverini EC and the Vaquejador FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcos Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Beverini EC's João Paulo de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Linares in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Gilson Favoretto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vaquejador FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beverini EC the free kick. After 75 played minutes Beverini EC got a freekick which was hit by Osmar Lopez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Linares in the 85th minute of play forced Beverini EC's goalkeeper João Paulo de Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Paulo de Godoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Juvenal Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Arce having to interfere. Beverini EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vaquejador FC for a fine match.
