José Pedro Almeida hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, João Augusto Dracena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NOVORIZONTINO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beverini EC the free kick. João Augusto Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Dé Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Luís Fábio Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beverini EC's João Paulo de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Velasco in the 39th minute of play. If Benê Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osmar Lopez made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Augusto Dracena got free with João Paulo de Godoy in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Augusto Dracena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but João Paulo de Godoy made a huge save. Michel Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. João Paulo de Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benê Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo de Godoy having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Lino dos Santos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Beverini EC's João Paulo de Godoy. The supporters of Beverini EC booed when NOVORIZONTINO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Paulo de Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NOVORIZONTINO. NOVORIZONTINO's Benê Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Barreto in the 86th minute of play forced NOVORIZONTINO's goalkeeper Dé Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 played minutes Beverini EC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Barbosa. In the 89th minute, José Maria Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lino dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benê Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo de Godoy having to interfere.
