Manduri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papera the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Manduri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. 3 minutes into the match, Papera's Amílton Baptista broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nando Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio Carioca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nando Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13thth minute of the game Nando Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manduri's Egídio Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nando Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reginaldo Seco didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Dorian Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by William Simão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alexsandro Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egídio Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Vasconcelos in the 30th minute of the match. Alexsandro Freitas struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Egídio Carioca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papera. In the 34th match minute, Manduri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Nando Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papera's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egídio Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexsandro Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

57 minutes into the match, Papera's goal looked a bit too open when William Simão came free, but Reginaldo Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reginaldo Seco came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Manduri's Erivaldo Toledo. But to his dismay, Erivaldo Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Alexsandro Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Manduri's zone, Nando Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Carioca came out of the goal and Nando Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reginaldo Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Toledo in the 71st minute of the match. The tension between the Papera and the Manduri players grew even worse after the yellow card. Papera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erivaldo Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Manduri were victorious despite being under pressure from Papera for much of the match.
