If Mário Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Válter Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felippe Rocha hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With 11 minutes on the clock, Benedito Brito commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Crucilandia SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Ian da Silva shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 22nd match minute, Crucilandia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guto Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match Jarbas Novaes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Pedro Alves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 29 minutes, Paulão Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the °CuzetaFC°® and the Crucilandia SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manfredo Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gildo Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Alfredão Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. °CuzetaFC°®'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crucilandia SS the free kick. Alfredão Goiano hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Manfredo Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the °CuzetaFC°® fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfredo Dracena couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felippe Rocha during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel de Andrade in the 54th minute of play forced °CuzetaFC°®'s goalkeeper José Pedro Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Crucilandia SS getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Osmar Terra hit a great ball. José Pedro Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustão do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Alves having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Faustão do Nascimento took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for José Pedro Alves to make any attempt to save it. José Pedro Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Mesquita in the 90th minute of play. If Válter Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes °CuzetaFC°® got a freekick which was hit by Válter Aguiar. The °CuzetaFC°® fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Crucilandia SS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
