Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sidney Gerber started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Armandinho Ferreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Cavalcante was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Hydrolandia's Giovanni Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Dias in the 10th minute of play. Marcus Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute, Dalmo Motta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Giovanni Romero. The goal made the score 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Dalmo Motta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovanni Romero. Hydrolandia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dalmo Motta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Hydrolandia's Rubinho Peixoto got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Dalmo Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Giovanni Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulão Berger hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Nando Paraíba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcus Cavalcante. Capoeirana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sidney Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sidney Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Hydrolandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Gerber couldn't finish the play. Nando Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nando Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Nando Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adalmo Lira shot from long distance in the 40th minute, but Giovanni Romero was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 41st minute, Dalmo Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Hydrolandia's Nando Paraíba tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sidney Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sidney Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Dias to make the kick off. When Tadeu Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hydrolandia's protests and gave Tadeu Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. Tadeu Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Armandinho Ferreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Cavalcante having to make a save. Armandinho Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hydrolandia getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Yuri Teixeira hit a great ball. Giovanni Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Dias in the 71st minute of play. Júlio Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dalmo Motta, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 76 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Giovanni Romero was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 80th minute Júlio Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Giovanni Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Júlio Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hydrolandia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Capoeirana.
