Carlos França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Azevedo having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick de Souza made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Macado's Sílvio Luís Prestes got a free kick in the 58th minute. Fausto Rezende missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 60 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ademir Azevedo right hand side. In the 61st minute, Albertinho Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, one of Itonia SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itonia SC. Macado's Breno Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick de Souza in the 78th minute of play forced Macado's goalkeeper Ademir Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Macado defense, Fabrício Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademir Azevedo. The Macado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademir Azevedo should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Patrick de Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademir Azevedo. Macado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrick de Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
