When Silvinho de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cilandia's protests and gave Silvinho de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. Gugu Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Gustavo Mello during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cilandia's André Luiz Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Cerezo scored 2-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gugu Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
