If Fabrício Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Claudinei Palmeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duda Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luiz Brito in the 14th minute of the match. André Luiz Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Luiz Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Muquem EC booed when Cilandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Joélson Carioca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gugu Nóbrega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Cilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Mota came free, but Gugu Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Muquem EC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Eduardo Mota hit a great ball. When Eduardo Mota fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muquem EC's protests and gave Eduardo Mota a yellow card for diving instead. Eduardo Mota hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Silvinho de Senna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Duda Paranaense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Claudinei Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrício Barral in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gugu Nóbrega saved Cilandia from getting behind. After having played for 31 minutes, Dedé Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muquem EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes in the game, Fabrício Barral dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Muquem EC's Dedé Arce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gugu Nóbrega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Aírton Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gugu Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cilandia's goalkeeper Gugu Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabrício Barrals short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Gugu Nóbrega to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eduardo Mota struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Sebastião Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Muquem EC's Joélson Carioca shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gugu Nóbrega but with some difficulty. Fabrício Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabrício Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cilandia's Gugu Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Mota in the 72nd minute of play. Gugu Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82ndth minute of the game Silvinho de Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muquem EC's Duda Paranaense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Muquem EC's Sílvio Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dedé Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dedé Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrício Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gugu Nóbrega read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Claudinei Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muquem EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gugu Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabrício Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Gugu Nóbrega made a huge save.
