Raúl Alvarenga started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Borges's Raimundo Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sandro Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sandro Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio de Amorim in the 8th minute of the match. Murillo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murillo de Queiróss short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Eusébio Quaresma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Eriberto Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Borges getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Raúl Alvarenga hit a great ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Murillo de Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borges's Eusébio Quaresma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lastdance FC's Eriberto Trigo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Adriano Pena in the 31 minute of the game. Eriberto Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raúl Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Sandro Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borges. Murillo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Alvarenga in the 46th minute of play forced Lastdance FC's goalkeeper Sandro Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Borges were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo de Queirós was the one to do the kick off. Flávio de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Lastdance FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Nunes came free, but Sandro Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amauri Furtado hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Murillo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Severino de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lastdance FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arthur de Andrade lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Arthur de Andrade hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Elder Loyola from long distance, 62 minutes into the match, got Sandro Couto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Sandro Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Alvarenga in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Lastdance FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Amauri Furtado hit a great ball. Elder Loyola took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandro Couto. Lastdance FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Murillo de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Eriberto Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Borges's Patrício Leite got a free kick in the 79th minute. Murillo de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Quaresma having to interfere. In the 86th minute José Paulo Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Quaresma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Borges's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo de Queirós came free, but Eusébio Quaresma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lastdance FC's Murillo de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of Borges were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Lastdance FC side.
