The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Paulista during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12th play minutes Fellipe Peres shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jorginho Saldanha and just under the crossbar into goal. Renan de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Saldanha having to interfere. The supporters of Almas booed when Guaraciaba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Guaraciaba SS's Renan de Amorim made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorginho Saldanha was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Renan de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agostinho Godoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Jorginho Saldanha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Renan de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Denílson de Queiroz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Paulista to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fellipe Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Renan de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Guaraciaba SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan de Amorim couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the game, Guaraciaba SS's Agostinho Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorginho Saldanha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Fellipe Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Saldanha having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Almas's zone, Alan Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Saldanha came out of the goal and Alan Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Renan de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alan Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Guaraciaba SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Rosa couldn't finish the play. Almas's Jorginho Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan de Amorim in the 82nd minute of play. Siro Granda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Paulista in the 83rd minute of the match. Renan de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jorginho Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almas's Denílson de Queiroz got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Denílson de Queiroz off the ground. A collision led to Almas getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Denílson de Queiroz hit a great ball. If Renan de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guaraciaba SS fully deserved thier win.
