The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Adriano Prata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Leria FC's Raí de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabrício Vianna got in the 15th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Armandinho de Lara handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. A collision led to Eufrozina getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Nico Coelho hit a great ball. Leria FC's Telmo Madureira got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raí de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Campidelis having to interfere. Gerson Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Madureira in the 22nd minute of the match. Armandinho de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Raí de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Leria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí de Almeida couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Eufrozina's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Madureira came free, but Gerson Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raí de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Madureira in the 43rd minute of play forced Eufrozina's goalkeeper Gerson Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Vianna spun around in front of the goal 47 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Leria FC's goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabrício Vianna made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raí de Almeida got free with Gerson Campidelis in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flávio Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Eufrozina getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Flávio Ramos hit a great ball. When Telmo Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Leria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Madureira couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Eufrozina's Wágner Damião got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Eufrozina's Gerson Campidelis got control of the ball when Raí de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 67 played minutes Eufrozina got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Damião. With his leg Gerson Campidelis managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Leria FC's Raí de Almeida fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 74 minutes into the match, Eufrozina's Fabrício Vianna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armandinho de Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Leria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Cearense came free, but Armandinho de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes, Abel de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leria FC and the Eufrozina players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Eufrozina booed when Leria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão Cearense in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armandinho de Lara saved Leria FC from getting behind. 86 minutes into the game, Hélder Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eufrozina the free kick. After a rather tough play, Leria FC's Hélder Meirelles got a free kick in the 86th minute. Raí de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Campidelis having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Telmo Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Eufrozina fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Leria FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
