Altaneira AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taborda EC the free kick. The supporters of Taborda EC booed when Altaneira AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luís de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Digo Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Massa having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Altaneira AD's Celsinho Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho Massa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Digo Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiaguinho Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Altaneira AD's Digo Paulista in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taborda EC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute, Digo Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Pedro Luís de Brito sped through Altaneira AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emerson Mesquita. Celsinho Prata struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Tiaguinho Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altaneira AD. When Celsinho Prata came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Altaneira AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho Prata couldn't finish the play. Digo Paulista scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiaguinho Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th match minute, Taborda EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celsinho Prata made a kick off. After 56 minutes, Luisão Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taborda EC and the Altaneira AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luisão Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Aluísio Donato, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Digo Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tiaguinho Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiaguinho Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Digo Paulista in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Taborda EC's zone, Celsinho Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiaguinho Massa came out of the goal and Celsinho Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gil Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Faustão Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altaneira AD and the Taborda EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Faustão Rodrigues hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Altaneira AD's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Baptista came free, but Emerson Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Mesquita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís de Brito's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Digo Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tiaguinho Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Digo Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Mesquita having to interfere. Taborda EC's Tiaguinho Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Taborda EC from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the game, Celsinho Prata lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Tiaguinho Massa. When the match was over Altaneira AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Taborda EC throughout the match.
