Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adrianinho Antunes started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Ludomir Golembiewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fortaleza Esporte Clube's Walmir Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Fortaleza Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. When Marco Passos came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Fortaleza Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Passos couldn't finish the play. Cássio Zago charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Zago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bugre's Claudinei Marquez came free and shot a quick shot against goal 17 minutes in the game, fortunately Walmir Reis had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Claudinei Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Walmir Reis made a huge save. If Claudinei Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Marquez took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walmir Reis. Walmir Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Bugre's Claudinei Marquez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Walmir Reis. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. After 38 minutes, Breno Arruda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bugre and the Fortaleza Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Breno Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cássio Zago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Olavo Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortaleza Esporte Clube's Ludomir Golembiewski got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ludomir Golembiewski made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Adrianinho Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bugre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Fortaleza Esporte Clube's Walmir Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Antunes in the 66th minute of play. The referee gave Cássio Zago a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 73rd match minute, Fortaleza Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Zago to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes of play, Bugre's Adrianinho Antunes made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ludomir Golembiewski came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Fortaleza Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludomir Golembiewski couldn't finish the play.
