The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Paulo Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Yuri Trancoso made a huge save. In the 5th minute, José Maria Prestes made a precise shot to the right of Aníbal Pontes. Targinos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Remo Alves's late challenge caught a Brelinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remo Alves helped the player get up and apologised. Remo Alves hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Targinos's Remo Alves got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game José Maria Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Targinos's Aníbal Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brelinho's Yuri Trancoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Brelinho from getting a goal against them. Aníbal Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 韩超洋 in the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Targinos defense, José Maria Prestes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aníbal Pontes. The Targinos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aníbal Pontes should have stopped the shot. Severino Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aníbal Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Elivélton Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Brelinho's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Alves came free, but Yuri Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 韩超洋 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aníbal Pontes having to make a save. Aníbal Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 韩超洋 in the 31st minute of play. In the game's 31st minute Brelinho's 韩超洋 took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Aníbal Pontes and thus the score was 0-3. When Brelinho's José Maria Prestes in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Targinos's goalie prevented a goal. Aníbal Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 韩超洋 in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, José Maria Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Maria Prestes struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Aníbal Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brelinho. Aníbal Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 韩超洋, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Targinos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brelinho were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruninho da Costa was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Brelinho's Severino Senna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aníbal Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Targinos getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. André Borges hit a great ball. 韩超洋's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aníbal Pontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Maria Prestes in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aníbal Pontes saved Targinos from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Bruninho da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Targinos's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruninho da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuri Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Jeff Cornell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aníbal Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Prestes in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Bruninho da Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuri Trancoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The supporters of Targinos booed when Brelinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Aníbal Pontes made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Reynaldo de Barros sent off a good shot on target. After 84 minutes of play Targinos's André Borges was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Targinos's Elivélton Monteiro got a free kick in the 87th minute. José Paulo Montenegro took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yuri Trancoso. Yuri Trancoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Brelinho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
