PAYSANDU's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalmo Tasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Simão Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí de Godoy in the 8th minute of play. Piraim EC's Haroldo Lago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Piraim EC from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the game, Alex de Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piraim EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PAYSANDU the free kick. Edmundo Miranda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haroldo Lago. Piraim EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Haroldo Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Piraim EC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Betinho Veiga hit a great ball. Haroldo Lago was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edmundo Miranda. Haroldo Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Brasil in the 30th minute of play. Simão Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalmo Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When PAYSANDU's Diamantino Brasil in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piraim EC's goalie prevented a goal. If Arthur de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diamantino Brasil to make the kick off. Diamantino Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, PAYSANDU's Jailson Linares got a free kick in the 64th minute. Arí de Godoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adalmo Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Simão Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arthur de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Piraim EC's Haroldo Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Brasil in the 81st minute of play. Diamantino Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the game, Arí de Godoy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Simão Siqueira. Arí de Godoy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When PAYSANDU's Arthur de Amaral in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
