If Nestor Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute Nestor Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Siqueira in the 17th minute of play forced Antoniao's goalkeeper Alexandre Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Brasil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Siqueira went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Antoniao's Clóvis Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Itororo fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Itororo's Eliézer Guerra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 32nd minute Nestor Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Itororo booed when Antoniao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Nestor Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Nestor Siqueira made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Brasil. Antoniao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 47 played minutes Itororo got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Siqueira. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clóvis Mesquita made a kick off. Itororo's Flávio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis Mesquita in the 54th minute of play. Rodolfo Sá hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Eliézer Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alexandre Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nestor Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Siqueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nestor Siqueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Alberto Mota hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Eliézer Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramiro Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Siqueira in the 80th minute of the match. Eliézer Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Brasil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Flávio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Sá in the 90th minute of the match. The Antoniao fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itororo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
