But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bebeto Toledo couldn't finish the play. If Paulão Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulão Proença's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ricardo Simão firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 23 played minutes Lagama FC got a freekick which was hit by Fiori Tepedino. Ramiro Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ricardo Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ramiro Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Prata in the 34th minute of the match. Fiori Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Ramiro Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anísio França lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 40th minute, one of Lagama FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lagama FC. Telmo Barral shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The supporters of Lagama FC booed when Embirizal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bebeto Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half.
