The audience was convinced that Albertino Jacinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Melo was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertino Jacinto couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes in the game, Belchior Vasconcelos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Paraibao EC's Armindo Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Garcia in the 10th minute of play. Albertino Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrício Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Armindo Gomes made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Mamore's zone, Belchior Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Melo came out of the goal and Belchior Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Charles Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Charles Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrício Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Armindo Gomes made a huge save. José Maria Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charles Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. Mamore's Zé Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belchior Vasconcelos in the 61st minute of play. Fabrício Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Gomes having to interfere. Fabrício Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. Belchior Vasconcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belchior Vasconcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zé Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
