In the 47th minute, Kauan Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Augusto Eger. Opa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee ignored Macacu SC's protests and gave Alberto Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. Vitório Bezerra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clóvis Peixoto. Macacu SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Macacu SC's Alberto Paranaense got a free kick in the 66th minute. Macacu SC's Clóvis Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Diniz in the 70th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Augusto Eger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ciro Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Clóvis Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Macacu SC booed when Opa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naldo Valle's late challenge caught a Macacu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Valle helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Opa got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Valle. Pedro Augusto Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Fontes in the 97th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Opa players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
