Kaká Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Fernando do Nascimento to make the kick off. Kaká Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Leme having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fernando do Nascimento in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafinha Leme saved Matura from getting behind. If Luís Fernando do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Itapore's Nico Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafinha Leme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Raúl Peres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matura the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Raúl Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká Velloso made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Cesinha Cruz sent off a good shot on target. Rafinha Leme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Pimenta went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 94 minutes, Clóvis Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matura and the Itapore players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Matura getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Clóvis Melo hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Itapore fans cheered their team off the field, for while Matura had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
