But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesinha Cruz couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Clóvis Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesinha Cruz in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Clóvis Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matura's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
