After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Rodrigo Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramada EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Valladares having to interfere. If Claudinho Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Gilberto Valladares made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joélson Souza during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ramada EC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Joélson Souza hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Miranda made a kick off. The corner led Ramada EC's Régis Tinoco to fire away a dangerous shot which Gilberto Valladares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 55th minute, Claudinho Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Valladares. Carmelopolis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Augusto da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Vander having to interfere. Wilton Bastos in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomé Vander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Claudinho Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Valladares having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Carmelopolis's Augusto da Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomé Vander. That made the score 2-2 after 73 minutes of play. Ramada EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reginaldo Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 96 played minutes Ramada EC got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Magalhães. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ramada EC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
