The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Sidney Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliseu Vargas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Raulzito FC's Eliseu Vargas got a free kick in the 8th minute. Gilson de Medeiros scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rubens Trujillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Erasmo Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Trujillo. Raulzito FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erasmo Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lucas de Carvalho hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Raulzito FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Matos. In the 19th minute, Sidney Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Raulzito FC's Sidney Matos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Nilmar Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubens Trujillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Fernandes in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Raulzito FC booed when Jacuhype FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Raulzito FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sidney Matos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jacuhype FC's zone, Carlinhos Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Loyola came out of the goal and Carlinhos Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Carlinhos Porto in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Sidney Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sidney Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raulzito FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Carlinhos Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Raulzito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Carlinhos Porto struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Ramiro Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raulzito FC. If Osmar Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Loyola having to interfere. Carlinhos Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Rubens Trujillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacuhype FC. 65 minutes into the match, Jacuhype FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Porto came free, but Ramiro Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Raulzito FC's Carlinhos Porto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Erasmo Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erasmo Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Osmar Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Didi Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Raulzito FC's zone, Gilson de Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Trujillo came out of the goal and Gilson de Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osmar Pinheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramiro Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute Carlinhos Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Raulzito FC's Carlinhos Porto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Rubens Trujillo made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Marcos Penha sent off a good shot on target. Although Raulzito FC had been in control for most of the match, Jacuhype FC still came away with the win.
