In the 18th minute, one of Raulzito FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Raulzito FC. Rubens Trujillo had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Valério de Queirós's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. But to his dismay, Valério de Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Manteninha's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Porto came free, but Adhemar Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlinhos Porto struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Adhemar Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raulzito FC. After having played for 36 minutes, Valério de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manteninha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlinhos Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Sena having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Raulzito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Vargas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Walmir Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manteninha's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmir Arósio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubens Trujillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

In the 63rdth minute of the game Carlinhos Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manteninha's Adhemar Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute Didi Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carlinhos Porto came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Raulzito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Porto couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlinhos Monteiro in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adhemar Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adhemar Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Porto in the 77th minute of the match. Carlinhos Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Sena having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Luiz Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Raulzito FC's zone, Luiz Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Trujillo came out of the goal and Luiz Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
