After a defensive mix-up in Arequembaua SC's zone, Orlando Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Senna helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Arequembaua SC booed when Tara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arequembaua SC's Tostão Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Arequembaua SC from getting a goal against them. After 84 played minutes Arequembaua SC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Lucas. Fiori Rossi hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Arequembaua SC's Fiori Rossi got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Ricardinho de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
