Ricardinho Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Rogério Ferraz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fernandinho Fernandes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Ronaldo Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ricardinho Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Ferraz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 73rdth minute of the game Dênis Urbano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calderao EC's Alex Loyola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Calderao EC's zone, Dênis Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Loyola came out of the goal and Dênis Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Dênis Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Calderao EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Xavier to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Calderao EC's Alex Loyola got control of the ball when Tomás Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomás Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alex Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
