Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Eurico Coutinho started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Arce got free with Carlos Alberto de Barros in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carandahy's Roberto Botelho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Eritreia EC. After a rather tough play, Eritreia EC's Egídio Cerezo got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Gilberto Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Eritreia EC's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Sabóia came free, but Luís Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carandahy! In the 32nd minute, João Paulo Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Anselmo do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eritreia EC's protests and gave Anselmo do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Carandahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Paulo Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Luís Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Gilberto Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Luís Rossi made a huge save. Luís Rossi made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Rony Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. João Paulo Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eurico Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eritreia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alberto de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manolo Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manolo Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 played minutes Eritreia EC got a freekick which was hit by Artur França. Luís Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Sá in the 66th minute. João Paulo Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Rossi having to interfere. Gilberto Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Luís Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Sabóia in the 86th minute of play. In the 97th minute Eurico Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eritreia EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Carandahy for a fine match.
