The Virtus Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xie Ting Sheng should have stopped the shot. Panait Lupșoiu struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jorginho Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virtus Futebol Clube. In the 16th minute, Alexsandro Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Garces's zone, Alexsandro Siqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Porto came out of the goal and Alexsandro Siqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Panait Lupșoiu came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Virtus Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panait Lupșoiu couldn't finish the play. Jorginho Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexsandro Siqueira in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alexsandro Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virtus Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexsandro Siqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Juan Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Garces fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Queiroz couldn't finish the play. After the first half Garces were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé de Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Fabiano Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alexsandro Siqueira came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Virtus Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexsandro Siqueira couldn't finish the play. Dinei Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinei Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Virtus Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Jorginho Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Siqueira in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Fabiano Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fabiano Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virtus Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Zé de Queirós scored to the left of an out of position Xie Ting Sheng, making the score, 0-3. Jorginho Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Alexsandro Siqueira made a precise shot to the right of Jorginho Porto. Garces's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The supporters of Virtus Futebol Clube booed when Garces was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Siqueira in the 85th minute of play forced Garces's goalkeeper Jorginho Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexsandro Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jorginho Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virtus Futebol Clube. Alexsandro Siqueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorginho Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexsandro Siqueira ran back to his position shaking his head.
