In the 16th minute, Sandro Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raphael Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Campidelis in the 19th minute. São Paulo Luz's Raphael Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleandro Branco in the 22nd minute of play. Luiz Fábio Pirani scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raphael Donato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the game, Aleandro Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cochinho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo Luz the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, João Francisco Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo Luz's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almir Breckenfeld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raphael Donato was a little too slow when Luiz Fábio Pirani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 38th minute Aleandro Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. São Paulo Luz's Raphael Donato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save São Paulo Luz from getting a goal against them. After 42 minutes of play, São Paulo Luz's Thomás Fontes made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Almir Breckenfeld was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the match, São Paulo Luz's goalkeeper Raphael Donato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fábio Pirani. João Francisco Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. João Francisco Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Breckenfeld having to interfere. Almir Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Fontes in the 84th minute of the match. Raphael Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Thomás Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Almir Breckenfeld was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Sandro Carvalho could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Almir Breckenfeld however easily saved by the left post. A hard shot by Percival Seco from long distance, 95 minutes into the match, got Almir Breckenfeld's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thomás Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. São Paulo Luz's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cochinho FC had won, even though São Paulo Luz had held more of the ball.
