The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Willian Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto da Costa in the 3rd minute of play. Cussauro Mz's Nilmar Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hortêncio Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Umberto Quintal's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Willian Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto da Costa in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Taberoe FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Hortêncio Velloso hit a great ball. With his leg Hortêncio Souza managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Cussauro Mz's Umberto Quintal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Percy Mumbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hortêncio Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Taberoe FC's goalkeeper Hortêncio Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Umberto Quintal. In the 24th minute, Umberto Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fabrício Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willian Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Valladares in the 35th minute of play. Fabrício Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Cussauro Mz's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Valladares came free, but Willian Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Quintal in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabrício Chaves made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umberto Quintal in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Souza saved Taberoe FC from getting behind. If Nilmar Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Nilmar Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cussauro Mz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilmar Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hortêncio Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Quintal in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Taberoe FC's Fabrício Chaves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willian Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match, Lauro Valladares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Willian Pombal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hortêncio Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilmar Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Percy Mumbach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cussauro Mz's supporters rose to their feet, but Percy Mumbach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Umberto Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hortêncio Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Umberto Quintal's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Umberto Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cussauro Mz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Umberto Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Umberto Quintal took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hortêncio Souza. Hortêncio Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cussauro Mz fully deserved thier win.
