Eduardo Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pangarés FC. Pangarés FC's Luís Fabiano Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Luís Fabiano Tróia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Eduardo Abraão to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Saude's zone, Luís Fabiano Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Abraão came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Velloso hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Luís Fabiano Tróia in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eduardo Abraão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Augusto Linares in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Dante saved Pangarés FC from getting behind. In the 25th minute of the match Júlio Carneiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Paulo Dante skillfully saved the ball. Mané Corrêa charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mané Corrêa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mané Corrêa hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Osvaldo Berger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Paulo Dante showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eduardo Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto Linares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pangarés FC's Luís Paulo Dante. Luís Paulo Dante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Fabiano Tróia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Eduardo Abraão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fabiano Tróia was the one to do the kick off. Eduardo Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Tróia in the 52nd minute of the match. Luís Fabiano Tróia might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Abraão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Fabiano Tróia ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Saude getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Osvaldo Berger hit a great ball. Luís Paulo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Augusto Linares in the 64th minute of the match. Mané Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Luís Fabiano Tróia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pangarés FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The supporters of Pangarés FC booed when Saude was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes, Pangarés FC's Samuel Palmeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Abraão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pangarés FC reached it. Mané Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Abraão having to interfere. After 82 minutes, Luís Fabiano Tróia made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Saude's Eduardo Abraão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pangarés FC's Luís Fabiano Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Carlinhos Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saude's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 played minutes Saude got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Sena. In the 94th minute, Carlinhos Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmílson Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eduardo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pangarés FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
