Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 8 minutes, Vinícius Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachoeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Erasmo Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Zonta in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Criciuma's Wilton Pontes got a free kick in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio Zonta in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erasmo Trancoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Cachoeiras's Délio Zonta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Cachoeiras booed when Criciuma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Délio Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorian Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Erasmo Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Nascimento in the 39th minute of play. Wilian Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorian Britto to strike the kick off in the second half. Nelsinho Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Furlan having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Cachoeiras's goalkeeper Wilian Furlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelsinho Nascimento. Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Cachoeiras from getting a goal against them. Nelsinho Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Furlan having to interfere. Cachoeiras's Délio Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho Nascimento got free with Wilian Furlan in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the game, Daniel Hermes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilian Furlan. Daniel Hermes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Dorian Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Jeferson Sergipano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cachoeiras and the Criciuma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Dorian Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilton Pontes charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilton Pontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, Criciuma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Pontes to maneuver through the defense. When Dorian Britto came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cachoeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorian Britto couldn't finish the play. Nelsinho Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Furlan having to interfere. The supporters of Criciuma booed when Cachoeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cachoeiras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
