Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Britania EC's Denílson Vander started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Fabiano Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Lambari's goal looked a bit too open when Tibúrcio Vieira came free, but Douglas Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Britania EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Thiago Valle hit a great ball. Lambari's Douglas Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Vander in the 13th minute of play. Pedro Paulo do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Guimarães in the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tibúrcio Vieira in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Hermes in the 30th minute of play forced Britania EC's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lambari booed when Britania EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lauro Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Paulo do Valle having to make a save. Reginaldo Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pedro Paulo do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibúrcio Vieira in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Kléberson Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Tasso. Lambari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kléberson Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Celso Silva in the 47th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lambari's Vito Camargo. Lauro Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lauro Guimarães to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Guimarães in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Paulo do Valle saved Britania EC from getting behind. Pedro Paulo do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lauro Guimarães's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Reginaldo Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Guimarães in the 84th minute of play forced Britania EC's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes, Lauro Guimarães made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Britania EC's Pedro Paulo do Valle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Britania EC's Pedro Paulo do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Guimarães in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Lambari's Lauro Guimarães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Paulo do Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. There was no doubt that Lambari were the better team.
