It was a penalty for Ranchinho SS! The referee gave Costa a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sidnei Ribeiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ranchinho SS's Miguel Branco. 3-1. Carlinhos Quintal might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Branco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlinhos Quintal ran back to his position shaking his head. Tales Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Vinhas having to interfere. Lúcio Sá struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Telmo Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranchinho SS. Telmo Vinhas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tales Recife showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 100 minute of play.
