Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evandro Damião started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Pompeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Ramalho came free, but Manolo Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 4 played minutes, Mazela AD's José Augusto de Toledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manolo Dantas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mazela AD reached it. José Maria Rocha hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Ramiro Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Pompeiro defense, Cristóvão Saraiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manolo Dantas. The Pompeiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manolo Dantas should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Pompeiro's Manolo Dantas got control of the ball when Cristóvão Saraiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. When José Maria Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pompeiro's protests and gave José Maria Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Manolo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ramiro Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Belmiro Couto hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ramiro Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro Ramalho in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manolo Dantas saved Pompeiro from getting behind. Silvinho Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Maciel having to interfere. Evandro Damião struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Armandinho Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pompeiro. Osvaldo Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Chicão Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pompeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Silvinho Arruda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Armandinho Maciel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ramiro Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolo Dantas having to interfere. Ramiro Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Manolo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manolo Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Saraiva in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Saraiva in the 84th minute of play forced Pompeiro's goalkeeper Manolo Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Mazela AD's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Damião came free, but Armandinho Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Pompeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Egídio Vieira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pompeiro's Manolo Dantas didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Cristóvão Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mazela AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolo Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolo Dantas having to interfere. Mazela AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pompeiro for a fine match.
