The audience was convinced that Joel Vander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enio Paiva was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Caresalzinho's Joel Vander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enio Paiva. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Remonta's Enio Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Vander in the 20th minute of play. Caresalzinho's David Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Penha in the 65th minute of play. Kaká Paulista struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. David Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Remonta. Vicente Fonseca hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. If Natanael Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, one of Remonta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
